You know who I am.

You know who I am

You’ve stared at the sun

I am the one who loves changing

from nothing to one.

Lyrics by Leonard Cohen.

Love me- Tie me. This is for you.

Now I am a shadow

I long for the boundaries

of my wandering

and I move

with the energy of your prayer

and i move

in the direction of your prayer

Leonard Cohen. This is for you.

“Love me, tie me” by Edvarda Braanaas

Edvardas women.

Edvarda Braanaas paintings always originate in a directorial vision in the artist’s mind, where the composition and design of elements quite literally conspire to create the “big picture”. From the massive “Melting Pot” to her portraits of the women in Dostoyevsky’s novels, her paintings are unafraid to tackle grand universal themes like religion, sexuality, and human relations, and combine to present their own, unique metaphysical state.

Beneath The Roses

For as much as Crewdson’s secret inner life is surely revealed by his photographs,on viewing them one’s own secret inner life is revealed too, at least to oneself.

And revelation produces change. You have to expose yourself to an alternative world, a fictional world, if you will, and enter it.

A world where you can reside long enough to furnish it with your preexisting memories, dreams and reflections…
